Dr. Enrique Gastaldi, CEO of the Instituto de Traumatología Dr. Gastaldi Orquin, has been appointed president of Hispamef (Asociación Hispanoamericana de Medicina del Fútbol).

The baton of the presidency of Hispamef has been handed over to Dr. Jorge Cheyre, head of the knee team of the MEDS Clinic, member of the CONMEBOL Medical Commission and doctor of the Chilean national football team.

The appointment has taken place at the IX International Congress of Hismamef in Santiago de Chile, in which numerous professionals related to the world of football from different countries such as Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Panama, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Chile and Spain.

In this Congress, professionals share their experiences on football injuries and, on this occasion, Dr. Enrique Gastaldi has made a presentation on the choice of graft in ACL reconstruction (anterior cruciate ligament).

At the end of the event, it was announced that the next international congress will be held in October 2024 in Valencia, the city where Dr. Gastaldi works.
